Jim Coleman Jaguar Land Rover is seeking an experienced Maryland Licensed State Inspector (MSI) with Jaguar Land Rover experience to join our service team in Bethesda, Maryland.
We are looking for a skilled automotive technician who takes pride in their work, has strong diagnostic and mechanical abilities, and understands the level of quality and attention to detail expected in a luxury dealership environment.

As a Maryland State Inspector / Automotive Technician, you will perform Maryland State Safety Inspections, diagnose mechanical concerns, and complete necessary repairs while maintaining Jaguar Land Rover service and safety standards.
Responsibilities include:
Perform Maryland State Safety Inspections in accordance with state regulations.
Inspect Jaguar, Land Rover, and other vehicles for safety, mechanical, and operational concerns.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and performance-related issues.
Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and safety-related services.
Utilize manufacturer-approved diagnostic equipment and repair procedures.
Identify and document recommended repairs based on inspection findings.
Support dealership service and vehicle reconditioning operations.
Maintain accurate inspection reports, repair orders, and service documentation.
Work efficiently while maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality.
Follow all dealership, manufacturer, and workplace safety procedures.
Current Maryland State Inspector (MSI) license required.
Previous Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) service or repair experience required.
Strong automotive diagnostic, troubleshooting, and mechanical repair skills.
Experience working with luxury or European vehicles.
Familiarity with Jaguar Land Rover diagnostic systems, tools, and manufacturer repair procedures.
Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical concerns.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Ability to work independently and as part of a service team.
Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
Jaguar Land Rover manufacturer training or certifications preferred.
ASE certifications are a plus.
