Passport Auto Group is hiring a Maryland State Inspector / Automotive Technician in Suitland, MD to perform thorough safety inspections and routine automotive maintenance. Job Responsibilities
Key Job Duties
- Conduct comprehensive safety inspections on vehicles to verify compliance with Maryland State Police standards and issue official documentation
- Perform automotive diagnostic checks, electrical system evaluations, and mechanical repairs on customer and inventory vehicles
- Complete routine maintenance services including oil changes, tire rotations, brake replacements, and suspension adjustments
- Communicate vehicle inspection findings and necessary repair recommendations clearly to service advisors and management
- Maintain a clean, organized work bay and adhere strictly to all safety and state regulatory standards
Qualifications
Job Requirements
- Valid, active Maryland State Inspector License
- Minimum of 2–3 years of automotive repair and diagnostic experience
- Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record
- Ownership of a complete personal set of automotive repair tools
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities and high attention to detail
