POSITION SUMMARY:
The Greenwich YMCA Marlins Swim Team is looking for an energetic, motivated, and experienced coach to join our staff as an Assistant Age Group Coach. The Greenwich YMCA Marlins is a USA Swimming Level 3, Bronze Medal, competitive swim team in lower Fairfield County. We have approximately 170 members ranging from 6-18 years old. The start date for this position is as soon as possible. Our 8-lane 50-meter facility is one of the premiere pools in Fairfield County. We offer 10 lanes of short course training during the Short Course Season and 8 lanes of long course training during the Long Course Season.

PAY:
$30/hourly
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Work with Age Group and Senior swimmers.
Conduct swim practices Monday–Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings.
Attend and assist at swim meets, averaging 1–2 meets per month.
Travel to various swimming pools in Connecticut and New York.
Teach and implement appropriate swimming training techniques for young swimmers.
Communicate effectively with swimmers, parents, and other coaching staff.
Maintain availability consistent with the part-time practice and meet schedule.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience working or competing on a USA Swimming team or college swim team program.
Demonstrated knowledge and mastery of swimming training techniques.
Ability to teach and develop young swimmers.
Current USA Swimming certification, or the ability to obtain the required certifications.
Excellent communication skills.
Ability and willingness to travel to various pools in Connecticut and New York.
Salary is competitive and based on experience.
