ECS is seeking a Marketing Writer to work in our Fairfax, VA office.
As a marketing writer, you will engage our community by crafting content to showcase ECS' technical expertise, innovative solutions, and corporate culture. You will produce marketing copy for articles, webpages, social media, digital ads, email campaigns, video scripts, and more. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team led by the VP of marketing and communications, you will apply your writing, editing, research, and interviewing skills to create content tailored for audiences ranging from technical engineers to C-level executives. In this role, you will work with division leaders and subject-matter experts to promote ECS' technical solutions across a variety of domains.
The ideal candidate will be familiar with information technology terminology and the cultural landscape. A strong understanding of grammar and syntax is essential, along with proven skills in clarity, word choice, and style.
Your team is made up of hard-working and talented marketers who are here to support and collaborate with you. The marcom team works remotely and in a hybrid mode. For those in the DC metro area, our office is in Fairfax, VA, where we host team events and gatherings weekly.

ECS gained market share in 2011 in the Department of Defense and Federal spaces through both organic and acquisition growth. In May, ECS completed its first strategic acquisition with the purchase of OAK Management, Inc., a leading provider of marine environmental services, ship systems engineering, maritime consulting and platform acquisition management. The OAK acquisition kicked off ECS’ intention to add tactical acquisitions as a part of its long term strategy to supplement and expand upon organic growth and to build enterprise value. ECS closed out 2011 with the acquisition of Paradigm Technologies, Inc. The Paradigm transaction added approximately 200 employees to ECS’ existing 900+ employees. In 2012, ECS completed the acquisition of iLuMinA Solutions, Inc. iLuMinA brings large-scale Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software implementation and infrastructure design and development to ECS’ expanding capabilities.
