Our client, a leading global provider of cloud-based software solutions, is seeking a Marketing Specialist for a contract role in Charlotte, NC, This role is fully remote.
About the role
Looking for a marketing specialist to support social media and internal communications functions. You'll work closely with teams across Marketing to keep programs running smoothly, moving from planning through publication.
The ideal candidate is an organized, detail-oriented communicator who manages recurring channel activities independently, coordinates multiple stakeholders and deadlines, and keeps programs on track. This role provides day-to-day coverage across social media and internal communications programs, including during team absences and high-volume periods.
What you'll do
Social media
- Schedule, publish, and maintain social content across LinkedIn channels and other social platforms.
- Maintain social projects, campaigns, calendars, and tasks in Asana.
- Add and maintain content in employee advocacy platform, LiveSocial.
- Monitor company, product, executive, and brand mentions across social channels; flag opportunities or issues that require follow-up.
- Upload and optimize videos for YouTube, including titles, descriptions, thumbnails, links, playlists, and other publishing details.
- Create simple, on-brand social graphics in Canva for employer brand, media, PR, and other quick-turn communications needs.
Internal communications
- Provide production support for Town Halls: tech checks, presenter coordination, run-of-show logistics, and scheduling across executive calendars.
- Build and publish content in newsletter; assemble and finalize the newsletter and weekly wrap, including formatting, images, and layout.
- Draft first versions of leader blog posts, functional communications (such as office access and badging protocols), event promotions, and routine announcements with senior review and refinement.
- Compile monthly internal communications stats channel analytics, readership and engagement data, Town Hall attendance, and podcast downloads into a standing report.
- Administer the editorial calendar and internal communications editorial board: track requests from HR, IT, product, and launch teams, and keep stakeholders updated on status.
- Coordinate routinely with communication platform and podcast production vendors, test new platform features, and maintain distribution lists and templates.
What we're looking for
- 24 years of experience in social media marketing or corporate marketing communications.
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
- Experience managing social media for a company, organization, or brand.
- Strong organizational and project-management skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and stakeholders.
- Comfortable working independently within established strategies, processes, and brand guidelines.
- Experience with social publishing and scheduling tools.
- Familiarity with project-management platforms such as Asana.
- Experience working with LinkedIn and a strong understanding of social publishing best practices.
- Basic Canva or similar design experience; ability to create simple, professional graphics using established templates.
- Strong attention to detail, particularly around links, tagging, formatting, approvals, and publishing.
Nice to have
- Experience with employee advocacy platforms such as LiveSocial.
- Background in B2B technology, SaaS, professional services, or financial or legal services.
- Familiarity with HubSpot or other marketing and social publishing platforms.
- Experience supporting internal communications programs, including newsletters, intranets, or Town Halls.
Pay Rate- $32.00- $35.00/hour
