JOB SUMMARY
The Associate Account Manager works on a team across North Risk Partners to support the Commercial Lines service team and Risk Advisors. This role works under the supervision and direction of the account management team and service leader, with support from North Risk University training leads. This role is responsible for managing day-to-day service requests, supporting client relationships, and completing internal service work that prepares this individual to progressively take on greater responsibility and grow into an Account Manager role. Proficiency and ability to complete each phase independently and accurately is expected before moving into the next phase.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITES
- Submit marketing RFP's to ancillary and medical carriers per Risk Advisor or Account Manager specifications for new potential and existing clients
- Support Employee Benefits practice leaders with maintaining strong carrier and vendor partnerships
- Coordinator and track carrier and vendor education and overviews for the Employee Benefits practice
- Respond to any carrier questions or requests for additional information on the submitted RFP
- Monitor carrier response to RFP by requested due date; spreadsheet results compared to incumbent carrier and/or specifications
- Share, review, and communicate marketing results with the Risk Advisor and Account Manager
- Collaborate with the Risk Advisor and Account Manager to determine the best strategy
- Move new or existing clients to preferred carriers when possible
- Ensure all RFP documents are maintained and documented correctly and compliantly
- Follow all federal and state regulations, and best practices for avoiding errors and omissions
- Continue professional development by pursuing and maintaining professional designations
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities)
- A combination of education and experience generally attained through a high school degree, bachelor's degree (in business, math, or related field strongly preferred), and a minimum of 3 years in the insurance industry
- Willingness and ability to obtain a life & health insurance license
- Previous insurance underwriting and/or insurance carrier customer service experience preferred
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills, demonstrating ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Self-starter who takes initiative to identify problems and lead by example

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds
- Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently
- Hear, speak, and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization
- Sit and a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer
- Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day
- Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability, for computer keyboarding, office equipment uses, review of detailed reports, information, fine print, and warning labels
- Must possess valid driver's license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings
- Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime and potential evenings/weekends for events and meetings as needed

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is $73,000 - $80,000 annually, plus benefits. The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
