Marketing Project Manager

We are seeking candidates for a Marketing Project Manager position with a leading private equity firm located in Boston, MA. This role will support the integration of marketing capabilities within a growing U.S. Wealth Management organization. This individual will play a key role in the Marketing Integration workstream, coordinating strategic initiatives, managing cross-functional stakeholders, and supporting commercialization efforts related to a major business acquisition and integration. This ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience as a marketing-focused project manager who understands wealth management and can coordinate the marketing integration of an acquired business while helping turn the strategy into campaigns that reach financial advisors 

This is a 12+ month contract position that will pay $55-66/hr (depending on experience) within a 40-hour workweek. This position supports a hybrid work model (onsite 4 days per week, remote 1 day per week). 

Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management activities for the Marketing Integration workstream and related sub-workstreams.

  • Develop and maintain project plans, timelines, milestones, deliverables, dependencies, risks, and decision logs.

  • Establish effective governance processes, status reporting, and executive-level communications.

  • Track key decisions, issues, dependencies, and future-state requirements to ensure timely resolution and progress.

  • Partner with workstream leaders to identify, escalate, and resolve issues that could impact integration readiness, client experience, or commercialization goals.

  • Coordinate across Marketing, Distribution, Product, Technology, Compliance, and external integration partners.

  • Translate integration decisions into advisor-facing commercialization and activation plans.

  • Support marketing strategies designed to increase awareness, engagement, and adoption of investment products and capabilities.

  • Assist with targeted messaging and integrated marketing campaigns across digital, email, social media, thought leadership, events, PR, and paid media.

  • Contribute to strategic marketing plans that support business objectives and strengthen brand positioning.

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Product, Technology, Compliance, and Communications teams to drive integrated business objectives.

  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and vendors to ensure projects are delivered on time and effectively.

  • Manage competing priorities, deadlines, and resources in a fast-paced environment.

  • Provide clear and concise updates to senior leadership and key business stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • Strong project or program management experience, ideally within marketing or financial services. Workfront experience is highly preferred.

  • Proven experience supporting marketing programs within the U.S. Wealth Management channel.

  • Understanding of investment management distribution channels, including financial advisors, RIAs, wirehouses, broker-dealers, and other financial intermediaries.

  • Experience managing complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders, timelines, dependencies, and deliverables.

  • Experience with business integrations, M&A, organizational transformations, commercialization initiatives, or other large-scale programs is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy, digital marketing, and modern marketing technologies.

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

  • Comfortable working with senior executives, business leaders, internal teams, external agencies, and vendors.

  • Proactive, resourceful, collaborative, and highly accountable.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, creative, and team-oriented environment.

  • Strong understanding of the U.S. wealth management industry, including market trends, regulatory considerations, and advisor engagement strategies.
