Job Title: Marketing Operations Specialist (Campaign Operations & Audience Activation)
Location: Remote
Duration: Contract
Schedule: 37.5 Hours per Week


Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Marketing Operations Specialist to support campaign execution, audience management, quality assurance, and marketing technology operations. This role will work closely with Marketing Operations Managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to execute marketing campaigns across multiple customer engagement platforms.

As the organization's customer data capabilities continue to evolve, this individual will play an increasingly important role in audience activation, segmentation, Customer Data Platform (CDP) initiatives, and lifecycle marketing programs. The ideal candidate is highly organized, analytical, comfortable working with data, and eager to expand their expertise across modern marketing technology platforms.


Key Responsibilities

Campaign Execution & Audience Activation

  • Support end-to-end execution of marketing campaigns across email, personalization, and customer engagement platforms.
  • Build and maintain audience segments, campaign configurations, and activation workflows under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Assist with audience targeting, segmentation, campaign setup, and deployment activities.
  • Support lifecycle marketing initiatives by implementing audience updates, customer journey modifications, and campaign enhancements.
  • Collaborate with Marketing Operations Managers, technical teams, and business stakeholders to translate business requirements into operational execution.

Quality Assurance & Campaign Delivery

  • Perform comprehensive pre-deployment quality assurance, including:
    • Link testing
    • Audience validation
    • Content rendering verification
    • Data validation and accuracy checks
  • Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate issues impacting campaign delivery or audience activation.
  • Maintain QA documentation and campaign validation records to ensure consistent, high-quality campaign execution.

Marketing Technology Operations

  • Support day-to-day administration and execution activities across marketing technology platforms, including:
    • CRM
    • Email Marketing Platforms
    • Personalization Platforms
    • Customer Data Platforms (CDPs)
  • Document operational workflows, processes, and platform requirements.
  • Participate in platform enhancements, implementation projects, and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in:
    • Marketing Operations
    • CRM Operations
    • Campaign Operations
    • Marketing Technology
    • Related Marketing Automation roles
  • Experience supporting campaign execution within an Email Service Provider (ESP), Marketing Automation Platform, or CRM ecosystem.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • Audience segmentation
    • Campaign setup
    • Campaign deployment
    • Quality assurance processes
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) or similar marketing automation platforms.
  • Exposure to personalization platforms, A/B testing tools, or digital optimization programs.
  • Experience working with:
    • Customer data
    • Audience segmentation
    • Data-driven marketing initiatives
  • Familiarity with:
    • SQL
    • Data validation
    • Reporting and analytics tools
  • Experience with Customer Data Platforms (CDPs), such as:
    • Treasure Data
    • Segment
    • mParticle
    • Adobe Real-Time CDP
    • Similar CDP technologies

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Information Systems, Communications, or a related field.
  • Equivalent combination of education and four years of relevant work experience will also be considered.
