Marketing Operations Manager

Location: Remote, United States

Employment type: Full-time

Salary: $100,000 to $120,000 base, depending on experience

Why You'll Love This Role

  • Remote flexibility: work from anywhere in the US
  • Room to grow: shape how the company uses AI and data in its marketing for years to come
  • Strong benefits: health insurance fully covered for you and your family, along with other competitive benefits

Interview Process

A fast, three-step process: conversations with members of the sales and marketing leadership team.

About the Company

Our client is an established B2B technology company serving the manufacturing industry. The business is growing, the sales team is expanding, and leadership is investing in marketing technology and data to support that growth. The company already has the tools it needs. What it needs now is an expert who can get the most out of them.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Marketing Operations Manager to own the systems, data, and reporting behind the company's marketing and lead generation. This is a technical, results-focused role. You will not be planning trade shows or producing basic collateral. You will be the person who knows HubSpot inside and out, understands how leads move from first touch to closed revenue, and spots opportunities to improve the process before anyone asks.

You will partner closely with sales leadership and work alongside two outsourced advertising agencies, helping the company understand what they are doing, hold them accountable, and take on some of that work internally where it makes sense.

This is an ideal fit for a self-starter who is curious about AI, likes digging into data, and wants real ownership in a small, close-knit team.

What You'll Do
  • Own and administer the CRM (HubSpot), including data quality, segmentation, lists, workflows, campaigns, and communication schedules
  • Coordinate execution of company-wide customer and prospect communications
  • Track engagement across email, web, advertising, and other customer touchpoints
  • Monitor paid advertising performance, spend, conversion rates, and lead quality, and translate agency reporting into clear takeaways for leadership
  • Define, track, and improve how marketing qualified leads (MQLs) are scored, routed, and handed off to sales
  • Work with sales leadership to define and refine ideal customer profiles, target audiences, and account segments
  • Evaluate incoming leads against qualification criteria and identify issues in funnel quality
  • Build and launch regional campaigns that support individual sales reps and territories
  • Build and maintain reporting on campaign performance, lead sources, conversions, and revenue influence
  • Improve attribution, targeting, and CRM processes on an ongoing basis
  • Apply SEO and AEO (answer engine optimization) best practices and keep the team current on how AI is changing search and buyer behavior
  • Execute campaigns based on the messaging and strategic direction set by company leadership

What We're Looking For

Required:
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in marketing operations, marketing automation, or revenue operations in a B2B environment
  • Expert-level HubSpot skills, including workflows, lead scoring, custom properties, segmentation, and reporting dashboards
  • Working knowledge of how MQLs, pipeline, and revenue connect, and how to measure it
  • Hands-on experience managing or evaluating paid search and digital advertising performance, ideally including work with outside agencies
  • Working knowledge of SEO, with growing knowledge of AEO
  • Strong analytical skills and comfort turning data into clear recommendations
  • A self-starter mindset, with the initiative to find problems and opportunities without being told where to look
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with sales and leadership in a remote setting

Nice to have:
  • HubSpot certifications (Marketing Software, Operations Hub, Reporting, or Admin)
  • Experience with data enrichment and prospecting tools such as ZoomInfo or Clay
  • Experience with Salesforce or CRM integrations
  • Background in B2B technology, software, or industrial and manufacturing markets
  • Practical experience using AI tools to improve marketing workflows
