    The Marketing Operations Manager supports the successful execution of WaterStone Bank's marketing strategy by leading department-wide projects, coordinating marketing operations, planning events, and managing key internal and external relationships. As a working manager, this position provides operational leadership while contributing directly to the work of the department. The Manager helps translate priorities into actionable plans, keeps initiatives moving, develops assigned team members, and ensures work is completed effectively and in alignment with Bank priorities.

    What youll be doing in the Marketing Operations Manager position...

    • Support the VP/Director of Marketing in translating department priorities into actionable plans and managing marketing projects from intake through completion. Establish objectives, responsibilities, timelines and communication needs; coordinate reviews and approvals; monitor progress; and elevate barriers or decisions when needed.
    • Lead and contribute directly to marketing and communications projects, coordinating work across the Marketing team, business lines, Compliance, Purchasing and other stakeholders. Balance hands-on execution with appropriate delegation based on project needs and team capacity.
    • Plan and execute Bank events and sponsorship activations, including budgets, vendors, logistics, communications, staffing and on-site coordination.
    • Coordinate paid advertising, public relations and external communications. Manage applicable vendors or agencies, media placements, timelines, approvals, press materials, budgets and performance reporting.
    • Serve as the primary Marketing liaison for WaterStone Investment Services. Manage requests and project plans, coordinate resources, and ensure work is accurate, timely and aligned with brand and regulatory requirements.
    • Manage and develop assigned staff by setting clear expectations, providing feedback, delegating responsibilities and supporting professional growth.
    • Assist with department planning, budgets, vendor relationships and process improvements.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    What you bring to WaterStone Bank...

    Experience

    Required

    • 3-5 years of experience in marketing, communications, project management or a related field.
    • 1-2 years of experience supervising employees or leading projects and cross-functional teams.

    Preferred

    • Experience in financial services or another regulated industry.

    Education

    Required

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

    Working conditions

    This position requires flexibility in work schedule, including occasional early morning, evening, or weekend responsibilities for events. The individual must be able to travel between Bank locations and off-site events as needed, provide proof of insurance, and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record in accordance with WSB's Vehicle Safety Policy.
