Position Summary:
The Marketing & Events Manager leads the planning, execution, and optimization of integrated marketing initiatives, events, partnerships, and catering business-development programs. This role is responsible for driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, customer engagement and experience, catering lead generation, and revenue growth across consumer and corporate audiences.
The Marketing & Events Manager serves as the primary owner of brand execution, marketing campaigns, event strategy, corporate and community partnerships, and new product/LTO marketing. The role helps shape how customers experience and engage with the brand across marketing, events, promotions, partnerships, and key customer touchpoints, ensuring a consistent and strong brand experience.
Working cross-functionally with Catering Specialist, Store Operations, and other departments, the Marketing & Events Manager uses customer insights and feedback to identify opportunities to enhance the customer journey while ensuring marketing initiatives and events are successfully executed and aligned with overall brand and business objectives.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Marketing & Brand
- Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns, promotions, and brand initiatives across digital, social, print, and other channels.
- Oversee brand consistency, advertising, public relations, and key marketing partnerships.
- Monitor campaign performance and use insights to improve engagement, customer acquisition, and ROI.
Events
- Plan and lead company events, brand activations, grand openings, community events, and other key initiatives.
- Oversee event timelines, budgets, vendors, marketing, brand experience, and overall execution.
- Partner with Catering and Store Operations to coordinate event requirements and ensure successful delivery.
Catering Business Development:
- Develop programs and partnerships that generate catering leads and increase catering revenue.
- Build and maintain relationships with corporate clients, community organizations, schools, and other strategic partners.
- Partner with the Catering Specialist to transition qualified opportunities into catering orders and ongoing accounts.
Driving Innovation:
- Partner with leadership to develop and launch new products, seasonal promotions, and limited-time offerings (LTOs).
- Develop marketing plans and campaigns that drive awareness and sales.
- Monitor consumer and industry trends to identify new marketing and promotional opportunities.
Reporting & Team Coordination
- Track and report marketing, event, and business-development performance to leadership.
- Provide direction and support to marketing team members and coordinate projects across departments.
- Partner closely with Operations, Catering, and leadership to ensure initiatives are aligned with business objectives.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds occasionally
- Ability to bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions as needed
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically active environment as needed
Qualifications:
- 4-6 years of experience in marketing, event management, hospitality, business development, or a related field
- College degree in a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience developing corporate, community, vendor, or strategic partnerships.
- Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines
- Ability to analyze campaign and event performance and translate results into actionable recommendations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required for events
Pluses (but not required):
- Japanese language skills (written and spoken) to support content creation
- Strong writing and editing skills in English
- Familiarity with Japanese culture and brands
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging trends)
- Experience with CRM tools
- Experience with design/editing software (Canva, Capcut, Adobe Creative Cloud – Premiere Pro, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for food, culture, and community engagement.
