What We Do/ProjectThe person in this role will be responsible for the day-to-day facilitation of franchise strategy and marketing initiatives, including but not limited to: supporting upcoming Theatrical releases; building up the go-to-market strategy for the franchise by developing initial branding materials and pitching projects to prospective global licensees as well as retailers; acting as a management lead across high-level and high-impact co-licensing partnerships with other entertainment IP; identifying data-driven audience insights to inspire strategic character positioning, establishing key marketing beats/opportunities in the annual planning cycle, and providing support to cross-functional teams that will allow them to activate against our creative principles; supporting the creation of presentation materials and brand-new style guide assets for licensees to leverage in product development; and overseeing the execution of activations on a global scale in partnership with hundreds of different licensees across Toys, Fashion, Home, and Accessories. Other duties may also be assigned dependent on business development and incremental needs.

Job Responsibilities / Typical Day in the Role
• Review, route, and approve all licensee and retailer marketing submissions for assigned properties
• Assist in executing franchise strategies and marketing initiatives in support of core franchises as well as individual properties (e.g., Superman, DC brand, etc.)
• Develop materials for franchise presentation decks, licensee and retailer pitch decks, sizzle videos, and similar related materials needed to drive the business
• Assist with the acquisition, development, approval, and use of Theatrical and TV assets
• Assist in executing the social media content strategy and calendar across all platforms, developing innovative marketing approaches to delight and engage fans
• Obtain necessary internal, external, and third-party approvals (including Legal, Brand Assurance, and Talent) for all GCP-driven marketing materials and assets that licensees as well as promotional partners can leverage
• Maintain Brand Assurance guidelines and ensure timely updates plus communication outward to the applicable stakeholders
• Lead the comics re-use process for Global Consumer Products, clearing new artwork from DC comic books for use across product and marketing opportunities
• Act as the first point of contact for product development and brand-related questions
• Manage relationships with external agencies and vendors, with whom the team collaborates frequently on various projects in support of DC brand initiatives
• Solicit industry and competitive trend information from Sales/Retail, Category, Creative/Product Development, and the Global Insights teams in addition to data from external sources
• Collect and submit updates to the Franchise Monthly Newsletter
• Other projects and duties may be assigned dependent on business development and needs.
Must Have Skills / Requirements
1) Proficiency in PowerPoint
a. 3+ years; Ability to translate data and ideas into digestible and effective presentations for external stakeholders.
2) Strong communication ability (Written and verbal)
a. 3+ years; Ability to present ideas and data to external stakeholders as well as communicating effectively and collaboratively with internal stakeholders.
3) Knowledge of Consumer Products Industry and Entertainment Industry
a. 3+ years; Understanding platforms that allow us to meet and track our revenue targets and engagement.
Nice to Have Skills / Preferred Requirements
1) Franchise management experience is a plus
2) 2+ years entertainment industry experience strongly preferred
3) Bachelor's degree with coursework in business/marketing strongly preferred
4) Proficiency in Keynote is a plus
5) Photoshop and Illustrator knowledge is a plus
6) Knowledge of digital platforms (YouTube, Instagram, TikTok), emerging technologies, and consumer trends is a plus
7) Understanding of licensing preferred
