Position: Marketing Coordinator, Casual
Position Time Frame: September 2026 through mid-April 2027 (may be extended)
Location: This position may be fully remote. For employees in the Portland area, a hybrid schedule with approximately one day per week at the PCC Foundation Office on the Sylvania Campus is preferred (12000 SW 49th Ave, Portland, OR).
Hours Per Week: Approximately 15-20 hours a week, with a flexible schedule. Weekly hours may fluctuate depending on workflow demands.
This is a non-benefited, casual position limited to 959 hours in a fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).

Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Marketing & Strategic Engagement Manager, the Marketing Coordinator provides project and communications support for Portland Community College Foundation's annual giving and marketing efforts. A key focus of this position will be supporting the planning and execution of Big Give Day, the Foundation's annual day of giving, including campaign coordination, communications, digital fundraising, and engagement with participating programs and partners.
The Marketing Coordinator will also support other Foundation marketing and engagement priorities, which may include email campaigns, social media, website updates, print materials, storytelling, events, and other donor communications. The role requires strong project management skills and collaboration with a variety of partners, including PCC faculty and staff, Foundation staff, donors, and students.
Typical Responsibilities:
? Coordinate assigned annual giving and marketing projects, with a significant initial focus on the PCC Foundation's annual Big Give Day
? Support Big Give Day planning and execution, including campaign timelines, participating fund and program coordination, digital fundraising pages, email and social media communications, website content, promotional materials, and other campaign needs
? Serve as a point of contact for participating PCC programs and partners, helping coordinate campaign information, materials, deadlines, and questions related to Big Give Day
? Coordinate and develop donor-facing communications for annual giving campaigns, including written appeals, email, website, social media, and print materials
? Contribute to communication strategies for internal and external audiences.
? Coordinate creative needs for select projects, including graphic design, photo and video shoots, in collaboration with Foundation team and creative partners
? Conduct student/donor interviews and attend meetings to develop content
? Assist with research, data collection, and campaign reporting to evaluate donor engagement, campaign performance, and opportunities to strengthen future marketing and annual giving efforts
? Provide event and other Marketing & Strategic Engagement support as needed
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field. Equivalent experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis. Two (2) years of marketing, communications, fundraising, or related project management experience.
The successful candidate will have experience in the following:
? Coordinating marketing, fundraising, or engagement campaigns involving multiple communications channels and stakeholders
? Managing projects with multiple deadlines, deliverables, and contributors
? Developing effective email, web, social media, and print communications
? Writing and editing clear, compelling audience-focused content
? Working independently while collaborating effectively with internal and external partners
? Contributing to creative concepts and campaign strategies
? Developing or using tools to measure campaign effectiveness
? Evaluating communications and marketing strategies with an equity lens
? Communicating effectively, both verbally and in writing
Experience with digital fundraising platforms such as GiveCampus and donor databases such as Raiser's Edge is preferred.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Work is generally performed in an office environment with some irregularities in the work schedule. Working hours may vary and occasional evening or weekend work is required.
