    Moore & Van Allen PLLC, a dynamic and fast-growing full-service law firm of more than 400 attorneys and professionals, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Marketing Communications Assistant to join its Charlotte, NC office. This entry-level position provides essential support across communications, marketing projects, and administrative operations within a professional services environment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone eager to develop their marketing and communications skills while working collaboratively with experienced professionals on high-impact initiatives.

    What You’ll Do:

    Communications Support

    • Assist with external communications initiatives, including publications, awards, rankings, and visibility opportunities
    • Manage calendars, track deadlines, and coordinate submissions across firm, practice, and attorney initiatives
    • Prepare and organize materials for award and ranking submissions, such as nominations, reference lists, and matter summaries
    • Proofread communications materials for accuracy, grammar, and adherence to brand standards
    • Conduct research on media, industry trends, and market opportunities to support strategic initiatives
    • Maintain and update communications databases, including awards, media placements, editorial calendars, and publication tracking
    • Track performance metrics and outcomes related to communications and visibility efforts
    • Support content development by organizing materials, drafting administrative components, and coordinating internal reviews
    • Assist with internal communications initiatives as needed
    • Utilize marketing technology and AI-enabled tools to improve research, tracking, and content preparation

    Marketing Support

    • Maintain and update project trackers, ensuring accuracy across deadlines, deliverables, and status updates
    • Coordinate meeting logistics, including scheduling, agendas, materials preparation, and follow-up actions
    • Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentation materials
    • Assist with vendor coordination and tracking of external partner deliverables
    • Perform data entry and maintain marketing and business development databases
    • Provide general administrative and operational support to the marketing and business development team
    • Collaborate closely with team members on departmental priorities and initiatives
    • Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned
    • Regular and in-person attendance is required to perform the essential functions of this interactive position.

    What We’re Looking For:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field
    • 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a professional services environment is preferred; Experience in a law firm or other professional services setting preferred.
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); familiarity with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite and digital marketing tools such as email marketing platforms, social media management, and website content management systems is a plus.
