Are you a detail-oriented marketing and business development professional who enjoys bringing ideas to life, building relationships, and supporting high-impact initiatives?

Kirkland & Ellis is seeking a Marketing & Business Development Senior Coordinator to join our Houston team. In this role, you will help drive marketing and business development efforts that support the Houston office, the Texas region, and the Firm's leading energy and infrastructure practices. Working closely with attorneys, business development professionals, and cross-functional teams across the Firm, you will play a key role in strengthening client relationships, supporting growth opportunities, and elevating the visibility of our brand and capabilities.

Reporting to the Senior Business Development Manager in Texas, you will collaborate with colleagues across Marketing & Business Development (MBD), research, communications, and other business services teams to deliver exceptional support and execution across a wide range of strategic initiatives.

• Client Engagement & Events: Support the planning, coordination, and execution of client-facing initiatives, including seminars, conferences, sponsorships, speaking engagements, and entertainment programs.
• Business Development Support: Help implement and track strategic business development initiatives that advance the goals of the Houston office and energy and infrastructure practices.
• Budget & Reporting Management: Assist with budget tracking, expense processing, sponsorship management, spend monitoring, and preparation of routine reports.
• Brand & Community Visibility: Coordinate community engagement efforts and industry sponsorship activities that strengthen Kirkland's presence and reputation in the Houston market.
• Marketing Content & Materials: Maintain attorney biographies, pitch materials, practice descriptions, and website content to ensure information remains accurate and current.
• Rankings, Directories & Awards: Support submissions by gathering information, drafting routine content, reviewing materials for accuracy, and managing deadlines.
• Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Maintain CRM data and targeted mailing lists to support outreach efforts, marketing campaigns, and client programming.
• Research & Market Intelligence: Conduct research on clients, prospects, industries, and competitors, and organize findings to support business development activities.
• Data Analysis & Insights: Collect, organize, and summarize information to support reporting and informed decision-making by key stakeholders.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with teams across the Firm to ensure the timely and consistent delivery of marketing resources, messaging, and business development support.

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree; with 3-4 years of experience in a marketing, business development or related role, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
• Communication Skills: Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with attorneys, clients, and colleagues at all levels.
• Organization & Project Management: Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, stay organized, and maintain exceptional attention to detail.
• Client Service Mindset: A proactive, service-oriented approach with a commitment to delivering high-quality support and building strong relationships.
• Research & Analytical Skills: Ability to gather, organize, analyze, and summarize business, legal, and financial information effectively.
• Content Development & Proofreading: Experience creating and maintaining marketing materials with a strong eye for accuracy, presentation, and detail.
• Technology Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint.
• CRM & Marketing Tools: Experience with CRM platforms such as InterAction or Salesforce preferred; familiarity with Adobe, Chrome River, SharePoint, and research or market intelligence platforms is a plus.
• Collaboration & Adaptability: Ability to work effectively across teams, adjust priorities as needs change, exercise sound judgment, and contribute positively to a fast-paced environment.
