The position plays a key role in supporting enrollment growth by representing Brightside Academy at community events, developing partnerships with local businesses and organizations, and driving grassroots marketing efforts.

    This role also supports internal and external communications and brand consistency while collaborating closely with academy leadership, enrollment teams, and external partners.

    Core Job Responsibilities

    Community Outreach & Relationship Building (Primary Focus)

    • Serve as a community ambassador for Brightside Academy at local events, fairs, and meetings

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with:

    • Community organizations

    • Local businesses

    • Schools, libraries, and family resource centers

    • Community leaders and partners

    • Identify new outreach opportunities to increase brand visibility and enrollment

    • Coordinate and host open houses, enrollment events, tours, and family-focused community events

    • Support academy teams with localized outreach strategies tailored to each community

    Enrollment & Recruitment Support

    • Partner with enrollment and academy leadership to support enrollment goals

    • Develop and distribute targeted outreach materials to drive inquiries and tours

    • Support recruitment marketing through local outreach, events, and partnerships

    • Assist with grassroots campaigns to attract families and staff

    Grassroots & Local Marketing

    • Create and manage community-facing marketing collateral and giveaways

    • Coordinate distribution of materials in high-impact community locations

    • Manage seasonal signage and A-frame placements at academies

    • Support targeted local advertising and promotional efforts

    Communications & Brand Representation

    • Ensure all community-facing materials align with Brightside Academy's brand standards and values

    • Support internal and external messaging related to events, enrollment, and community initiatives

    • Assist with parent newsletters, announcements, and promotional communications

    • Maintain consistent, positive brand presence in the community and online

    Events & Public Engagement

    • Attend, host, and support events that promote Brightside Academy

    • Coordinate speaking engagements, community presentations, and partnerships

    • Assist with planning and execution of company and academy-level events

    Social Media & Online Presence (Supportive)

    • Capture short videos, photos, and stories from academies and events

    • Support social media content that highlights community engagement and academy life

    • Monitor and respond to online reviews and community feedback as needed

    Additional Marketing & Administrative Support

    • Support website updates, blogs, and content related to community and enrollment initiatives

    • Assist with PR efforts, media outreach, and community announcements

    • Collaborate with leadership on annual reports and key communications

    • Support crisis or urgent communications when needed

    Proficiencies

    • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills

    • Comfortable working in person and representing the organization publicly

    • Highly organized with strong follow-through

    • Adaptable and able to manage multiple priorities

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office

    • Basic graphic design or content creation experience preferred

    • Interest in learning and leveraging AI tools to enhance marketing efforts

    Supervisory Requirements

    • This position does not have supervisory responsibility.

    Education & Experience

    • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, business, education, or a related field preferred

    • Experience in education, early childhood, or community-based organizations strongly preferred

    • At least one year of experience in outreach, marketing, community engagement, or related work

    Work Environment & Physical Demands

    • Monday-Friday with flexibility for evenings or weekends to attend events

    • Frequent travel to academies and community locations

    • Physical demands include standing, walking, lifting up to 30 lbs, and event setup

    • Indoor and outdoor work environments with varying conditions
