  • Manage the preparation of pitches, proposals, RFP responses, credentials, attorney biographies, representative experience lists, and other client-facing materials.
  • Support attorney business development efforts by coaching lawyers on relationship-building strategies, meeting preparation, follow-up plans, and pipeline tracking.
  • Plan, coordinate, and evaluate firm events, webinars, sponsorships, conferences, speaking opportunities, and community or industry outreach initiatives.
  • Oversee content development for newsletters, client alerts, website updates, social media, press releases, award submissions, rankings, and thought leadership campaigns.
  • Maintain and improve marketing collateral, client lists, matter descriptions, case studies, practice descriptions, CRM data, and experience databases.
  • Analyze marketing and business development activity, track return on investment, prepare reports for leadership, and recommend improvements to drive measurable results.
  • Collaborate with attorneys, leadership, outside vendors, and internal administrative teams to ensure consistent messaging, brand standards, and timely execution of initiatives.
  • Monitor legal industry trends, competitor activity, client needs, and market opportunities to inform strategic recommendations.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, public relations, or a related field.
  • Five or more years of marketing, business development, communications, or client development experience, preferably in a law firm or professional services environment.
  • Excellent writing, editing, proofreading, presentation, and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build credibility with attorneys, firm leadership, clients, vendors, and colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong understanding of professional services marketing, relationship-driven business development, branding, and client service principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CRM, email marketing, proposal, website, social media, or experience management platforms preferred.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Prior experience supporting attorneys, practice groups, or industry teams within a law firm.
  • Experience developing RFP responses, proposals, rankings submissions, award nominations, and client presentations.
  • Familiarity with legal directories, bar associations, trade organizations, client feedback programs, and attorney business development coaching.
  • Experience using CRM or pipeline tools such as InterAction, Salesforce, Foundation, or similar platforms.
  • MBA, JD, or advanced degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field is a plus.
