    Description

    DW Distribution an SBP Brand is currently looking for a Market Manager - Outdoor Living to join our VALUES based organization. The Door Market Manager develops new business and markets our pre hung door units to meet desired sales, gross margin, and profit goals.

    Essential Functions

    Sales

    • Proactively leads sales to achieve performance objectives, financial targets and critical milestones
    • Establish business plan to meet objectives, goals and quotas for assigned customers
    • Accurately enters orders and makes necessary logistical arrangements
    • Implements selling process (Buyer Based Selling) with account planning and sales calls
    • Establishes productive, professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts
    • Travels in the field as needed to build greater relationships with customers
    • Identifies growth opportunities within existing accounts and target accounts.
    • Proactively assesses, clarifies and validates customer needs on an ongoing basis
    • Able to train, develop, and guide sales teams to work with you in building the territory.
    • Work with Vendors to make sure relationships are strong and ensure pricing and availability are in alignment with goals.
    • Make sure all tallies are moving to ensure items don't end up on the slow moving report.

    Marketing/Training

    • Supports and execute DW's Sales and Marketing activities, including:

    • DW Shows

    • DW Dividend Program

    • Customer Promotions & Programs

    • Keeps current on all product knowledge

    Communication

    • Proper communication internally and externally, including prompt reviews and replies to email, voice mail and phone calls
    • Relays all competitive information to company management and sales teams
    • Meet all required deadlines and proper follow-up and follow through on requests assigned

    General and Administrative

    • Supports the corporate vision, mission and values
    • Communicates effectively with various management and operational departments, informing and updating them regularly to guarantee that sales and customer objectives are met
    • Complies with all OSHA safety requirements, work rules and regulations
    • Compiles and maintains all required paperwork, records, documents, etc.
    • Follows systems and procedures outlined in company manuals
    • Participates as a team player by supporting operations as needed
    • All other duties as requested by management

    Qualifications

    Formal Education and Certification

    • Four-year college degree from an accredited institution
    • 5 years experience in business-to-business sales may be substituted for educational requirement

    Knowledge and Experience

    • Minimum of 2-5 years' experience in business-to-business sales
    • 2 years experience of the building supply and millwork industry and markets
    • Computer skills and proficiency
