The Role:

The Market Research team is the heart of CoStar, capturing critical information that enables our commercial real estate clients to make informed, high impact business decisions daily. CoStar Group’s research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, retail stores, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities. Costar Group is seeking a Market Manager to join our growing research organization.

As a Market Manager Field Leads, you will be leading a team ofField LeadResearchers whoare responsible forinvestigating and profilingnew market opportunitiesto help owners, brokers and real estate professionalsidentifymarket exposurebest suited for their buildings. CoStar Group’s research contributes to the most important segment of our economy, helping businesses open offices, stores, and warehouses and manufacturing facilities. This position is inofficeMonday through Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of9plus Associate Research Consultants dedicated to delivering comprehensivereal estate market opportunitycoverage ofaccurateand complete commercial real estate information to CoStar clients

  • Fostera strong teamculture and dynamic and provide regular coaching to the development of the team

  • Ensure continuous delivery oftimely, comprehensive, andaccurateinformation whilst providing CoStar clients with the highest standard of customer service

  • Conduct regular call evaluations,trainingand mentoring sessions with your team. Coaching and guiding your team to produce meaningful telephone interactions consisting of effective questioning, listening,probingand sharing of information

  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members through individual development plans tailored to skills, competency, and career development that results in a center of excellence

  • Preparemonthly executive reporting updates highlighting workflow,processand strategy. 

  • Collaborate with photography and field research departments toidentifykey opportunities in each market

  • Conduct audits to ensure real-time data is being used by clients to make investment decisions

Basic Qualifications:

External applicants are expected to have the following education/experience combination:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited, not-for-profit, in-person University or College

  • A track recordof commitment to prior employers

  • 2+ yearspreviousexperience leading a team of 6 or more individuals

  • 2+ years of experience in a professional, corporate environment

  • 2+ years of experience within commercial real estate

Internal applicants are expected to have the following education/experience combination:

  • Bachelors’ degreecoupled with experience as a Senior Researcher or Principal Researcher.

  • 1+ years of Microsoft Office experience

  • Microsoft Excel experience is

  • Flexibility to work shifts aligned with ET, CT, MT, or PT time zones

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience in the commercial real estate industry

  • Experience with creating effective KPIs and meeting performance metrics, being results-oriented

  • Leadership and management skills, including the ability to prioritize and control workload of a team, coaching, and mentoring on professional development

  • Ability to work as part of a team

  • Success in building strong, cohesive teams by leading and motivating towards action/execution through influence and collaboration

  • Ability to articulate and execute corporate strategy, well-communicated with the ability to influence

  • Experience anddemonstratedproficiencywith Excel that includes the ability to manipulate data, filter, and develop basic formulas. All qualified candidates will be given an assessment todeterminetheir knowledge of Microsoft Excel 2016

  • Creative problem solving, attention to detail,objectivityand the ability to think strategically

  • Analytical approach with the ability to interpret information and trends, adapting quickly

  • Ability to interact at all levels andestablishrapport with both internal and external stakeholders

The final salary or hourly rate offered for this role will fall within the range set forth below based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, geographic location, skills, and competencies.

Base Compensation: $100,000 Annually.
