    Position Summary

    Leads market and business development across the US & Canada for specialty waxes, coatings, adhesives, and other formulated products for various markets. This role drives sustainable growth across a broad range of products and applications, with a strong focus on packaging solutions, by translating market and customer needs into differentiated commercial opportunities.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Monitor market trends, customer needs, application requirements, competitive activity, and value-chain dynamics across the assigned territory to identify attractive segments, applications, and value propositions for the company's specialty waxes, coatings, adhesives, and related formulated products.
    • Develop market-entry and growth strategies that translate market insights into clear product, application, positioning, channel, and commercialization recommendations for regional and global stakeholders.
    • Convert prioritized opportunities into actionable business development plans including target accounts, partners, required resources, timing, expected commercial impact, and ongoing pipeline, forecast, and business updates.
    • Prospect, visit, and develop targeted customers and partners to validate business potential, establish relationships, advance qualified opportunities, develop customer-specific value propositions, commercial offers, and negotiate pricing and terms within established guidelines.
    • Assess product fit against market and customer requirements and work with Technology, Marketing, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and other functions to define product improvements, new development needs, and supporting market, application, technical, and marketing materials.
    • Provide technical-commercial support throughout development and commercialization, including product recommendations, presentations, demonstrations, samples, trials, literature, quotations, qualifications, product introductions, and coordination of technical, manufacturing, quality, supply-chain, and commercial resources.
    • Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows, association meetings, and technical events to strengthen market presence, expand industry networks, and identify emerging opportunities.
    • Collaborate with regional colleagues, global teams, customers, and internal functions to coordinate multinational opportunities, share market and supply-related insights, support a consistent customer experience, resolve service or quality issues, and communicate timely updates to internal and external stakeholders.
    • Work with Supply Chain and commercial teams to evaluate distribution, inventory, and transportation options that support reliable and efficient customer service across the assigned territory.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Education and Experience

    Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, Packaging, or a related field and five or more years of relevant market development, business development, technical sales, or commercial experience in a related industry. Experience with specialty chemicals, waxes, coatings, adhesives, packaging materials, or converting applications is strongly preferred.

    • Results-oriented, organized, and able to manage priorities with sound judgment and initiative.
    • Willing and able to travel frequently within the assigned territory and internationally as needed.
    • Ability to speak the local languages in assigned territories.
