The Market Attendant (Barista/Cashier/Order Taker) is responsible for providing exceptional guest service while preparing beverages, sandwiches, processing transactions, and maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of our hotel's coffee shop and gift shop. This role plays a key part in creating a welcoming environment for hotel guests and local patrons through efficient service, product quality, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Greet guests and provide prompt, courteous, and professional service
• Prepare coffee, specialty beverages, and other menu items in accordance with established standards
• Take guest orders and accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of service areas, displays, and equipment
• Restock food, beverage, retail, and supply items to ensure product availability throughout the shift
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and cash handling procedures
• Respond to guest questions and provide information regarding menu items and hotel offerings
• Assist with opening, closing, inventory, and other operational duties as assigned
• Promote Hyatt's Culture of Care through exceptional guest service and teamwork

Qualifications

• Previous barista, cashier, food service, or hospitality experience preferred
• A true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to handle multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to lift, pull, and push a moderate amount of weight
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the shift
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires
