A leading marine service facility in Richmond, CA is seeking Experienced Marine Diesel Mechanics to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a highly respected organization known for delivering top-tier service and technical expertise within the marine industry.
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine diesel engines and related systems across a variety of vessels. You’ll work with leading manufacturers such as Cummins, Volvo Penta, Northern Lights, John Deere, Yanmar, Steyr, and Hamilton Jet. This is primarily a shop position, but requires the occasional field/customer onsite (Dock/Marina) repairs.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair marine diesel engines and related systems
- Service generators (gen-sets), hydraulic systems, and marine electrical components
- Perform preventive maintenance and major repairs, including engine repairs
- Ensure all work is completed efficiently, safely, and to high-quality standards
- Collaborate with team members while also managing independent projects
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in diesel engine diagnostics and repair
- Marine diesel experience strongly preferred
- Proven diagnostic ability with engines, hydraulics, gen-sets, and electrical systems
- Experience with major OEMs such as CAT, Cummins, Yanmar, Steyr Engines, and Hamilton Jet
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Professional attitude with strong communication skills
- Own tools required
- Physically capable of meeting job demands
- Must meet U.S. employment eligibility requirements
- Will be subjected to pre-employment checks including (criminal record check, drug-screen, and physical)

Schedule
- Day Shift: Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM
- Overtime available
