    Description

    The Landings Association is seeking a dependable, service-oriented, and detail-focused Marina Store / Office Manager to support daily operations at the Marina retail store and provide administrative support for overall marina business operations. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with residents, boaters, vendors, and team members while also managing the behind-the-scenes details that keep a busy marina operation organized, accurate, and running smoothly.

    The Marina Store / Office Manager is responsible for daily retail operations, inventory and merchandising, point-of-sale activity, sales reconciliation, vendor and invoice coordination, reporting support, and marina records management. The successful candidate will bring strong customer service skills, sound judgment, accuracy with financial and inventory-related tasks, and the ability to follow through on details in a professional, resident-focused environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming Marina Store environment.
    • Perform daily retail operations, including opening and closing procedures, point-of-sale activity, inventory support, and customer service.
    • Reconcile daily sales transactions, prepare deposit documentation, and deliver required information to Finance in accordance with internal controls.
    • Monitor, maintain, and track inventory levels; adjust ordering based on seasonal trends, sales forecasts, and historical sales data.
    • Submit invoices and receipts to Accounts Payable and review expenditures in the purchase order system for proper approval and coding.
    • Complete required month-end duties, including inventory counts, variance reconciliation, fuel sales documentation, and related financial information.
    • Contact customers with past-due account balances and work with Accounts Receivable to help resolve billing discrepancies.
    • Maintain lease agreement and insurance records for slip and dry storage and assist with semi-annual audits.
    • Assist with preparation and distribution of the department weekly report.

    Qualifications

    • Must be willing to work a minimum of one weekend per month, more if needed. 
    • Strong customer service orientation and ability to work professionally with residents, boaters, customers, vendors, and employees.
    • Knowledge of retail operations, merchandising principles, point-of-sale systems, inventory control, purchasing, and vendor management.
    • Strong organizational, time management, communication, and follow-through skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn retail management or marina-related systems.
    • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
