Job Title: Percussion Tech Marching Tech

Reports To: Coordinator Fine Arts

Minimum Salary: Temporary Hourly Rate: Type of Assignment: Non-Exempt Mid-Point Salary: NA Contract Status: At-Will Funding: This position is locally funded.

Position Summary Support the goals of the assigned campus department and perform routine assigned tasks under the direction and supervision of the professional staff.

Minimum Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent recognized by the Texas Education Agency.
  • Must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee approximately $50.00 paid by the candidate.

  • Previous experience related to the position
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Skill in communicating effectively with diverse groups of individuals utilizing tact and diplomacy
  • Ability to establish and maintain solid service relations with all staff, students, and administration
  • Knowledge of proper campus procedures and etiquette
  • Skill in coaching, accompanying instruction, and tutoring, etc. to meet the requirements of the position
  • Knowledge of general office equipment

Essential Functions Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain appropriate confidentiality concerning all students and staff
  • Complete required forms
  • Perform duties assigned by District Staff
  • Adhere to District policies and procedures
  • Attendance and punctuality are required
  • Other duties as assigned

Working Conditions

  • Tools/Equipment Used: Standard instructional equipment including personal computer and peripherals
  • Posture: Prolonged standing, frequent kneeling, squatting, bending, tooping, pushing, pulling, and twisting
  • Motion: Frequent walking, including frequent keyboarding, use of mouse, occasional reaching
  • Lifting: Regular light lifting and carrying less than 15 pounds, may lift and move textbooks and classroom equipment
  • Environment: Work inside, may work outside, regular exposure to noise
  • Mental Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress, work prolonged or irregular hours
