Manufacturing - Welder

Job Title: Welder
Location: Houston, TX
Duration: 3 month (Temp to Hire)
Rate: $17.39 on W2
Work Hours Start Time and Work Hours End Time: Monday to Friday 5:00 am - 3:30 pm, open to Saturday 5:00 am - 1:30 pm

Responsibilities

• Weld production and less difficult prototype instrumentation piece parts using various materials including stainless steel, precious, and semi-precious metals.
• Utilize various types of welding processes, which may include TIG and/or MIG.
• Operate program welding machines to weld production units.
• Assist machine welding operator in program welding for higher volume production units when workload requires.
• Ensure welds pass both destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements per individual product.
• Maintain individual welding qualification and certification as per product requirements.
• Set up fixtures and lay out work for production and prototype piece parts.
• Perform miscellaneous tasks as required.

Must Haves

• TIG and/or MIG welding experience on stainless steel, precious, and semi-precious metals.
• Experience welding production and prototype parts and setting up fixtures/layouts.
• Ability to operate or assist with programmed welding machines for production work.
• Knowledge of destructive/non-destructive weld testing and maintaining welding certifications.
