    Overview

    We are seeking a Test Equipment Technician to support maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test fixtures and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role partners closely with engineering teams to ensure all test systems operate efficiently and meet quality standards.
    This is a hands-on position ideal for candidates with strong electrical/electronic skills and experience working with test equipment in a production setting.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of test fixtures and equipment
    • Ensure all test equipment is fully operational, efficient, and aligned with quality standards
    • Collaborate with Test Engineers to diagnose and resolve technical issues
    • Support workflow scheduling and complete required administrative tasks
    • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status
    • Assist in improving equipment reliability and uptime
    • Use electronic test and measurement tools (e.g., DMMs, oscilloscopes) to analyze performance
    • Apply proper soldering techniques and basic hand tool usage as needed
    • Follow all safety procedures and maintain compliance with workplace standards

    Required Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED (technical training or degree preferred)
    • Associate degree in Electrical Engineering/Technology or equivalent experience
    • Minimum 4 years of relevant hands-on experience with test equipment or electronics
    • Ability to troubleshoot and maintain electrical and electronic systems
    • Experience using test equipment such as digital multimeters and oscilloscopes
    • Basic soldering skills and familiarity with electronic components
    • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel)
    • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and climbing ladders
    • Ability to distinguish color-coded wiring

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Experience working with high-voltage systems (up to 480V)
    • Background in manufacturing or test engineering environments
    • Technical trade school certification or military technical training
