Summary The instructor will work with eligible students to provide instruction in non-credit manufacturing and skill development courses. The Instructor will work with the program team to ensure proper tracking of student progress development and employment preparation. The Instructor will report to the Program Director. The class schedule is daytime Tuesday-Thursday.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Promote safety culture and safe work environment for students and Teaches courses in accordance with the master course outline and within the schedule of Perform Student Assessments in the Lab to meet the hands-on skill development goals of the Recommends changes to the instructional programs and curricula as Keeps and submits appropriate academic records in accordance with program Maintains instructional effectiveness by ongoing self-evaluation and incorporating current developments in instructional and learning Assists the College in keeping technology facilities and equipment Plans with the assistance of the Program Director to insure availability of supplies textbooks and lab equipment requisite to the successful teaching of assigned Assists in preparation of academic schedules specifically the manufacturing technology Works with the Program Director and other College staff in responding to student Coordinates program activities with classroom schedule and Prepares the recommended schedule for all specialized courses Serves as a liaison to LCCC Faculty ensuring basic instruction meets requirements for students to transition into advanced certificate and degree Encourages and assists students in utilizing self-service features available through the online
Qualifications
Required Education Required Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university preferably workforce education and development or similar discipline and a degree in the mechanical or electrical engineering disciplines One or more current Master trade licenses in either the electrical or mechanical trade within the state of Pennsylvania
Preferred Masters degree from an accredited college or university
Certifications Act 153 Clearances Act 34 PA Criminal Background Act 151 PA Child Abuse History Act 114 FBI Clearance Fingerprinting or ability to obtain these Current Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in vocational education Authorized OSHA trainer in both Construction and Industry
Work Experience Minimum of 10 years teaching experience in a public school system or an accredited college or university Minimum of 10 years practical experience in either the mechanical or electric trades

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand walk sit use hands to handle or feel reach with hands and arms talk and hear. The employee may regularly lift andor move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift andor move up to 35 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and distance vision.
Work Environment The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
