Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Technician to perform technical duties within a manufacturing environment. This position will support mechanical and systems-related manufacturing operations by performing testing, measurements, equipment operation, troubleshooting, repairs, and process controls.
Job Description
- Perform technical duties and support projects within assigned manufacturing work groups.
- Complete testing, measurements, operations, and process controls according to established procedures.
- Follow job packets, routings, work orders, wire lists, quality travelers, bills of material, and other manufacturing documentation.
- Maintain production tools, equipment, and work areas.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose product, process, and program defects.
- Perform repairs and corrective actions to resolve identified issues.
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and technical documentation.
- Identify mechanical and electrical components.
- Perform wire preparation, stripping, crimping, harness repair, and termination as required.
- Safely and effectively use a variety of manual hand tools and power tools.
- Work with mechanical assemblies, hydraulics, electronics, and automated machinery.
- Operate and, when applicable, assist with programming automated machines.
- Perform testing and inspections to verify product and process requirements.
- Maintain a high standard of quality and ensure work is completed according to specifications.
- Follow all applicable safety procedures and manufacturing standards.
- Apply Manufacturing System principles and tools to support continuous improvement.
- Work collaboratively with engineering, production, quality, and other manufacturing teams.
Skills Required
- Minimum 3 years of relevant manufacturing or mechanical technician experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documentation.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to perform testing and measurements.
- Ability to identify components and follow detailed manufacturing instructions.
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, product, and process issues.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
The following certifications are nice to have, but not required:
- Forklift certification.
- Overhead crane certification.
- NDI (Non-Destructive Inspection) certification.
Education/Training/Certifications
- High school diploma, technical school education, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Pay rate
- $22 - $24 per hour (Compensation will be offered within this posted range based on experience, skills, and market factors)
