Description
Quality Control & Evaluation
- Inspect carbon composite components for cosmetic and structural defects
- Interpret quality standards, work instructions, and engineering specifications
- Identify reworkable vs. non-reworkable defects and document findings accurately
- Communicate defects and trends to Quality and Manufacturing teams
Rework & Repair
- Perform manual rework on carbon fiber components, including sanding, filling, finishing, and surface prep
- Conduct cosmetic repairs while maintaining structural integrity and performance requirements
- Use hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision equipment safely and effectively
- Re-inspect repaired parts to confirm conformance with for quality standards
Required Qualifications
- Experience in manufacturing, quality, or composite repair (carbon fiber preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and ability to evaluate cosmetic and physical defects
- Comfort using hand tools and performing fine, repetitive manual work
- Ability to read work instructions, drawings, and quality specifications
- Basic computer skills for documentation and tracking
