Position: Manufacturing Technician
Location: Madison WI 53711
Duration: 12 Months
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Work Type: Onsite
Shift: Monday To Friday From 08:00 AM To 05:00 PM
Summary
Manufacturing Technician responsible for building, testing, and calibrating complex scientific instruments and assemblies to support production goals. Works collaboratively with team members to solve problems, maintain quality standards, and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities:
  • Build, test, and calibrate various assemblies.
  • Install assemblies into final instrument builds.
  • Ensure assemblies and instruments meet quality standards.
  • Follow work instructions for mechanical, electrical, and optical assemblies.
  • Perform material handling and inventory verification.
  • Communicate effectively with team members.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to solve problems and support continuous improvement.
  • Contribute to a positive team culture.
Required Skills:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment preferred.
  • Mechanical assembly experience preferred.
  • Experience using various hand tools preferred.
  • Soldering experience preferred.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions.
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting up to 50 pounds occasionally, 25 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
