Position: Manufacturing Technician / Manufacturing Specialist
Location: Irvine, CA
Position Summary:
This role is responsible for performing manufacturing operations, component-level rework, inspections, troubleshooting, and quality activities while following manufacturing documentation, engineering drawings, procedures, and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform manufacturing and assembly operations according to manufacturing documentation and established procedures.
- Perform complex work, troubleshooting, and rework at the unit and component level.
- Use conventional and digital machine tools, hand tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Inspect components, assemblies, and test setups using engineering drawings, specifications, and test procedures.
- Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet quality requirements.
- Support production operators with manufacturing and technical issues.
- Identify and escalate manufacturing, quality, tooling, and process issues.
- Participate in continuous improvement activities such as 5S/6S, Kaizen, and process improvement.
- Review manufacturing documentation and identify discrepancies or areas requiring correction.
- Support failure analysis and root-cause investigations for manufacturing and quality issues.
- Document manufacturing and quality activities accurately in accordance with company procedures.
- Assist with resolving non-conforming products and quality issues.
- Coordinate with engineering, production, quality, and other internal teams to resolve manufacturing issues.
- Ensure assigned quality actions and corrective activities are completed.
- Support product release and final inspection activities when required.
Required Qualifications:
- Hands-on manufacturing or technician experience.
- Experience with assembly, testing, inspection, troubleshooting, and rework.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and manufacturing documentation.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, conventional/digital equipment, and manufacturing tools.
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Experience with medical devices, aerospace, electronics, or other precision manufacturing is a plus.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
