Shift: Swing Shift, Monday-Friday | 3:00 PM - 1:30 AM
Join a High-Tech Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Team
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Technician to support sterile pharmaceutical production in a state-of-the-art automated manufacturing and packaging facility. In this hands-on role, you will help operate, troubleshoot, maintain, and improve production equipment used in the filling, inspection, and packaging of sterile pharmaceutical products while ensuring compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals with manufacturing, technical, mechanical, or automated production experience who are passionate about quality, continuous improvement, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Production & Equipment Operations
  • Set up, clean, change over, operate, and support equipment used for inspection and packaging of vials, pre-filled syringes, and medical devices.
  • Execute manufacturing recipes and production activities using automated systems, including SAP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues and support the resolution of equipment failures during production.
  • Perform user-level preventive and routine maintenance activities.
  • Assist engineers, maintenance technicians, and external service providers with equipment repairs, calibrations, installations, and major overhauls.
Quality & Compliance
  • Follow all cGMP requirements, SOPs, safety procedures, and documentation standards.
  • Complete Batch Production Records (BPRs), logbooks, forms, and other documentation accurately to maintain data integrity and product traceability.
  • Identify, document, and report process deviations or unusual events in accordance with established procedures.
  • Conduct manual and semi-automated visual inspections of finished product with a strong focus on quality and efficiency.
  • Support environmental monitoring, cleaning, and housekeeping activities to maintain manufacturing area standards.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
  • Participate in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, including 5S and Kaizen activities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality, Engineering, and Operations to improve processes and performance.
  • Assist with technician training and contribute to the development and improvement of SOPs and training materials.
  • Share equipment, safety, maintenance, and process updates during shift handoffs.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve reliability, efficiency, yield, and overall operational performance.
Required Skills & Knowledge
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of automated manufacturing systems, including:
    • SAP
    • Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
    • PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers)
    • HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces)
    • Process monitoring software
  • Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality documentation practices.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), email, and basic computer systems.
Qualifications
Education
One of the following is required:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with at least 2 years of manufacturing experience in industries such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, aerospace, automotive, food and beverage, medical device, or related manufacturing environments; OR
  • Associate degree in Bioscience Technology, Microelectronics Technology, or a related technical field.
Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience within the past 7 years operating manufacturing, packaging, inspection, or production equipment is highly preferred.
Physical & Work Requirements
  • Must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
  • Ability to work swing shift and other shifts as needed, including overtime.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 45 pounds.
  • Must successfully complete all required job-related qualifications and certifications for working in a cGMP manufacturing environment.
  • Annual requalification may be required for applicable certifications and job functions.
  • Must pass vision acuity and color discrimination testing.
  • Must be able to meet gowning and medical evaluation requirements for controlled manufacturing environments.
