Description

PGS Worldwide is seeking a Manufacturing Technician in Beltsville, MD for an approximately six-month onsite contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This position will build, process, and test manufacturing assemblies and subassemblies while working from engineering drawings, specifications, diagrams, and established procedures. The technician will also perform measurements, identify nonconforming material, and safely work with hazardous materials in a manufacturing environment.

Required Skills

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent plus 2 years of additional education and/or related experience.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions, engineering drawings, and established procedures without deviation.
  • Ability to perform basic math and measurement functions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to safely handle hazardous materials in accordance with applicable safety requirements.
  • Ability to identify and communicate nonconformances to management and quality personnel.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience operating industrial equipment.
  • Experience using precision measuring instruments and hand tools.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

What You’ll Do

  • Build, process, and test manufacturing assemblies and subassemblies.
  • Follow established manufacturing processes and procedures.
  • Read and interpret prints, diagrams, specifications, manufacturer manuals, and engineering drawings.
  • Perform basic measurements and calculations required for manufacturing operations.
  • Use appropriate tools and equipment to support assembly and production activities.
  • Safely handle hazardous materials in accordance with applicable procedures.
  • Identify and report nonconformances to management and quality assurance.
  • Support additional manufacturing activities as assigned.

Work Schedule / Shift

  • 9/80A schedule.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required.

Pay

  • $36.37 per hour
