AWS is the world"s leading cloud platform, serving hundreds of thousands of companies across 190+ countries. Automotive & Manufacturing is one of our highest-priority industry verticals - and, through the Manufacturing & Supply Chain Center of Excellence (CoE), we"re building the team that will define how the world"s factories and supply networks run in an era powered by cloud and AI.

We"re looking for a Tech Lead for Manufacturing & Supply Chain to join our CoE within the Automotive & Manufacturing Industry Business Unit. The Tech Leads are senior specialist solution architects who are thought leaders in AWS technology and industry trends, providing deep subject matter expertise to our customers. In this role, you will own the technical vision and go-to-market execution for smart manufacturing and supply chain solutions - from architecture patterns and partner integrations to customer-facing assets that drive adoption at scale.

If you are enthusiastic about shaping how the world"s largest manufacturers and supply chain operators leverage the cloud and AI, come build the future with us.

Key job responsibilities

As a Tech Lead, you will lead the technology strategy execution for manufacturing and supply chain use cases, translating industry challenges into AWS-native solutions. You will develop and deliver GTM assets - reference architectures, white papers, workshops, code samples, and thought leadership content - that enable both customers and field teams. You will collaborate across product, partner, and sales organizations to align priorities and accelerate customer outcomes. You will engage directly with customers as a trusted technical advisor, demonstrating the art of the possible while challenging the impossible to deliver lighthouse deployments. Inside AWS, you are an ambassador of our customers, articulating customer needs by synthesizing your observations from customer engagements and industry trends (industrial AI, digital twins, connected operations) to inform the strategic roadmap.

As a successful Tech Lead, you possess deep domain expertise in manufacturing operations, supply chain, and/or industrial technology. You are a builder who thrives at the intersection of cloud technology, AI, and real-world operational outcomes. You are a compelling communicator who can translate complex architectures into business value for executives and practitioners alike. You are energized by ambiguity - you set direction where none exists and rally cross-functional teams to deliver.

About the Company

A

Amazon.com Inc

At Amazon, we don’t wait for the next big idea to present itself. We envision the shape of impossible things and then we boldly make them reality. So far, this mindset has helped us achieve some incredible things. Let’s build new systems, challenge the status quo, and design the world we want to live in. We believe the work you do here will be the best work of your life.

Wherever you are in your career exploration, Amazon likely has an opportunity for you. Our research scientists and engineers shape the future of natural language understanding with Alexa. Fulfillment center associates around the globe send customer orders from our warehouses to doorsteps. Product managers set feature requirements, strategy, and marketing messages for brand new customer experiences. And as we grow, we’ll add jobs that haven’t been invented yet.

It’s Always Day 1
At Amazon, it’s always “Day 1.” Now, what does this mean and why does it matter? It means that our approach remains the same as it was on Amazon’s very first day – to make smart, fast decisions, stay nimble, invent, and stay focused on delighting our customers. In our 2016 shareholder letter, Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos shared his thoughts on how to keep up a Day 1 company mindset. “Staying in Day 1 requires you to experiment patiently, accept failures, plant seeds, protect saplings, and double down when you see customer delight,” he wrote. “A customer-obsessed culture best creates the conditions where all of that can happen.” You can read the full letter here

Our Leadership Principles
Our Leadership Principles help us keep a Day 1 mentality. They aren’t just a pretty inspirational wall hanging. Amazonians use them, every day, whether they’re discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution for a customer’s problem, or interviewing candidates.
