    The Position


    Leader Tech is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead approximately 20 to 25 employees across assigned manufacturing operations supporting EMI shielding products. This position is responsible for daily production execution, employee development, workplace safety, product quality, labor performance, continuous improvement, and accurate production documentation within an AS9100 and ISO quality environment.


    Primary Responsibilities



    • Translate the production schedule into clear daily priorities for staffing, equipment, tooling, materials, and workflow across assigned manufacturing operations.

    • Monitor scheduled starts, production output, labor efficiency, work-in-process (WIP), scrap, rework, downtime, attendance, and other key performance indicators.

    • Identify production constraints early, implement recovery plans and corrective actions, and promptly escalate risks that could affect safety, quality, productivity, or customer commitments.

    • Lead, coach, develop, and cross-train approximately 20 to 25 employees while maintaining accountability for performance, quality, safety, attendance, and workplace conduct.

    • Provide hands-on production support, when trained and authorized, while maintaining appropriate supervisory coverage and leadership responsibilities.

    • Ensure employees consistently follow current drawings, routers, bills of material, work instructions, specifications, inspection requirements, and applicable manufacturing procedures.

    • Ensure labor, production, scrap, material, traceability, training, and quality records are accurate, complete, and maintained in accordance with company and quality-system requirements.

    • Promote and enforce compliance with machine guarding, lockout/tagout, PPE, housekeeping, safe material-handling practices, and all other applicable safety requirements.

    • Coordinate closely with Production Control, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Tooling, Human Resources, and other departments to resolve issues and support production objectives.

    • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that strengthen safety, quality, productivity, workflow, labor efficiency, and scrap/rework performance.

    • Manage department overtime within company policy, support staffing decisions, and assist production as needed when trained and authorized.


     



    Qualifications



    • High school diploma or equivalent required.

    • Five or more years of manufacturing experience, including at least three years of direct production supervisory experience, preferred.

    • Demonstrated experience leading a manufacturing team of 15 or more employees strongly preferred.

    • Experience in aerospace, defense, medical, or another regulated manufacturing environment preferred.

    • Experience with manufacturing processes such as forming, stamping, press operations, metal fabrication, machining, assembly, or similar production operations preferred.

    • Working knowledge of production scheduling, controlled documentation, product traceability, nonconforming material, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and continuous improvement methods.

    • Ability to interpret drawings, work instructions, routers, bills of material, specifications, production data, and performance metrics.

    • Experience with ERP and manufacturing systems required; experience with SYSPRO and Microsoft Excel preferred.


    Schedule and Physical Requirements


    The regular schedule is 5:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday. Overtime, weekend work, and alternate-shift coverage may be required based on business needs. This position requires regular presence on the production floor and the ability to lift at least 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
