Description

Ichor Systems is seeking an experienced and motivated Manufacturing Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our tube bending, cleanroom and assemble area.

This role is responsible for leading and coordinating daily production activities within the Tube bend, soft wall cleanroom and Assembly departments to ensure safety, quality, delivery, and productivity objectives are achieved. This position provides direct supervision to production employees, drives continuous improvement initiatives, maintains compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements, and fosters a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.

Production Leadership

  • Supervise and coordinate daily operations within the Tube bend, soft wall cleanroom and Assembly departments to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
  • Monitor production output, staffing levels, labor utilization, and workflow to achieve department goals.
  • Ensure production targets are met while maintaining quality and safety standards.
  • Assign work priorities and adjust staffing as needed to support changing production demands.
  • Conduct daily shift meetings to communicate production goals, quality expectations, safety topics, and operational updates.
  • Collaborate with Planning, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Logistics teams to address production challenges and improve performance.

Employee Supervision and Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of tube bend, cleanroom, assembly operators, assemblers, leads, and other production personnel.
  • Provide regular performance feedback, coaching, and developmental support to employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and address performance and attendance concerns in accordance with company policies.
  • Promote employee engagement, accountability, and teamwork throughout the department.
  • Ensure employees receive appropriate training, cross-training, and certification requirements as applicable.

Quality Management

  • Ensure all products manufactured in the Tube bend, soft wall cleanroom and Assembly departments meet established quality standards, specifications, and customer requirements.
  • Monitor quality performance metrics and implement corrective actions when needed.
  • Partner with Quality Assurance to investigate nonconformances, customer complaints, and production defects.
  • Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action activities.
  • Maintain compliance with applicable quality systems, work instructions, and standard operating procedures.

Safety and Compliance

  • Promote a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with all safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct routine safety observations, audits, and investigations.
  • Identify workplace hazards and implement corrective actions to reduce risk.
  • Ensure employees follow all OSHA regulations and company safety requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with labor laws, company policies, and applicable manufacturing regulations.

Continuous Improvement

  • Lead and support Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives throughout both production areas.
  • Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, efficiency, scrap, rework, and labor utilization.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflow, reduce waste, increase productivity, and enhance quality.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects focused on operational excellence and process optimization.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate production records, labor reports, and operational documentation.
  • Review and approve employee timecards and attendance records.
  • Assist with workforce planning, staffing needs, and scheduling.
  • Prepare and communicate departmental performance metrics to operations leadership.
  • Support audits, inspections, and compliance-related activities

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of manufacturing experience in an assembly or production environment.
  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Experience overseeing production teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of assembly processes, manufacturing workflows, quality systems, and safety regulations.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and manufacturing-related software systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience in medical device, aerospace, automotive, electronics, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma training or certification.
  • Experience with ERP and Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).

  • Ability to interpret production data and make informed operational decisions.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and, with assistance, up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to visually inspect products and processes.
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moderate noise levels and exposure to production equipment.

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing production floor environment supporting Tube bend, soft wall cleanroom, and Assembly departments operations.
  • Frequent interaction with production employees, equipment, and materials.
  • May require occasional overtime, weekend work, or schedule flexibility to meet production demands.

For candidates in CA: The pay range for this position is $99,000 - $169,000, exempt, per year.
