    Manufacturing Supervisor – 3rd Shift

    Location: Charlotte, North Carolina – Relocation not provided

    Schedule: Monday night–Saturday morning, 10:00 p.m.–6:00 a.m.
    Shift: 3rd Shift | Overtime as needed

    We’re looking for an experienced Manufacturing Supervisor to join our Charlotte team and lead third-shift manufacturing operations. This is an opportunity for a hands-on people leader who enjoys developing teams, solving problems and driving improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

    In this role, you’ll have direct responsibility for your team’s performance, safety, quality and execution while partnering across functions to keep production running efficiently.     Position Summary

    The Manufacturing Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising daily manufacturing operations to ensure safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives are achieved. This role leads production personnel, drives continuous improvement initiatives, ensures compliance, and supports operational excellence within the manufacturing environment.

    Key Responsibilities

    Production Operations

    • Manage and oversee daily production activities to meet production schedules and customer requirements.

    • Monitor workflow, staffing levels, equipment utilization, and production efficiency.

    • Ensure production targets, throughput, and operational KPIs are achieved.

    • Coordinate with Planning, Quality, Engineering, Maintenance to resolve production issues.

    • Ensure inventory accuracy

    • Minimize waste and downtime

    Leadership & Team Development

    • Directly supervise production employees, team leaders, and shift personnel.

    • Conduct employee coaching, training, performance evaluations, and corrective actions.

    • Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, engagement, and continuous improvement.

    • Ensure adequate staffing and workforce planning to support operational demands.

    • Develop succession plans and employee skill development programs.

    Safety & Compliance

    • Promote and enforce workplace safety programs and OSHA compliance requirements.

    • Conduct regular safety meetings, audits, and investigations of incidents or near misses.

    • Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.

    • Maintain compliance with company policies, procedures, and work instructions.

    Quality Management

    • Ensure products meet quality standards and customer specifications.

    • Partner with Quality teams to investigate and resolve quality issues.

    • Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and improve process capability.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, 5S, and other operational excellence initiatives.

    • Understand production metrics and identify opportunities for productivity improvements.

    • Support projects focused on reducing costs, increasing efficiency, and improving quality.

    • Utilize ERP and manufacturing systems to support decision-making and operational performance.

    Reporting & Administration

    • Effectively communicate Prepare and communicate daily, weekly.

    • Track and report key performance indicators including:

      • Safety

      • Quality

      • Schedule Attainment

      • Productivity

      • Scrap

      • Overtime

      • Labor efficiency

    What Will Help You Succeed

    Required Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or GED.

    • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.

    • 2+ years of leadership or management experience.

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications to support daily manufacturing operations.

    • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to coach, motivate and develop employees.

    • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

    • Effective written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

    • Ability to use structured problem-solving methodologies to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business or a related field.

    • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or similar continuous improvement experience.
