Job description

KMM Group is looking for a dependable, detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Associate to support our precision manufacturing operation in Hatboro, PA.

This is a hands-on role for someone who likes order, accuracy, movement, and momentum. You will help materials, components, outside service work, certifications, and finished parts move through the building and out to customers with the kind of care that precision manufacturing demands.

At KMM, shipping and receiving is not “just warehouse work.” It is one of the final checkpoints between our shop floor and the aerospace, medical device, defense, space, and high-tech customers who rely on our parts.

What You’ll Do

Shipping, Receiving & Documentation

  • Receive incoming materials, purchased parts, outside service work, and customer-supplied components

  • Verify counts, packing slips, certifications, purchase orders, and receiving documentation

  • Process receipts in the company ERP system

  • Package, label, and prepare outgoing shipments for customers, suppliers, and outside processors

  • Use shipping systems such as UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, and other carrier platforms

  • Scan, file, and organize certifications, packing slips, and receiving records

  • Maintain shipping supplies, packaging materials, and department inventory

  • Help ensure accurate movement of materials through production and inspection

Manufacturing & Shop Floor Support

  • Move materials, components, and finished parts throughout the manufacturing facility

  • Support production workflow between departments including Quality, Operations, Machining, Grinding, EDM, and Project Management

  • Operate a forklift as needed, with training available

  • Perform local company van deliveries as needed

  • Assist with inventory control, material handling, staging, and organization

  • Follow quality, safety, and documentation procedures in an ITAR-registered manufacturing environment

Additional Responsibilities

  • Greet customers, suppliers, drivers, and visitors entering the facility

  • Keep the shipping and receiving area clean, safe, and organized

  • Communicate clearly with internal teams about deliveries, documentation, shortages, and shipment priorities

  • Support on-time delivery by helping materials move where they need to go

Job requirements

What You Bring

  • Good organizational skills

  • Ability to read and follow work instructions, packing slips, shipping documents, and receiving paperwork

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly

  • Comfort working in a manufacturing, warehouse, logistics, or production environment

Preferred

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing, warehouse operations, shipping and receiving, logistics, inventory, or material handling

  • Experience with UPS WorldShip, FedEx Ship Manager, ERP systems, barcode scanning, inventory systems, or shipping software

  • Forklift experience or forklift certification

  • Experience handling certifications, packing slips, purchase orders, and customer documentation

  • Lean manufacturing or 5S experience

  • Experience supporting precision manufacturing, CNC machining, grinding, EDM, inspection, or production operations

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move throughout a manufacturing facility for extended periods

  • Ability to lift and handle packages and materials up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to safely move materials of different sizes, weights, and shapes

  • Ability to work around shop floor activity, machinery, packaging areas, and production teams

Why KMM?

KMM Group is a growing precision contract manufacturer serving industries where accuracy matters: medical device, aerospace, defense, space exploration, and high-tech manufacturing.

The parts moving through our facility are not ordinary parts. They may support life-saving medical devices, flight-critical systems, advanced defense applications, or next-generation technology. That means every shipment, every certification, every label, and every count matters.

You will be joining a team that values people who notice the small things, stay organized under pressure, and take pride in doing work the right way. If you like being useful, dependable, and part of the rhythm that keeps a manufacturing operation moving, this role has a real place for you.
