Manufacturing/Quality Manager

About the Job:

Responsibilities:

• Own the ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including internal audits, management reviews, quality objectives, records, and certification/surveillance audit readiness.
• Manage the RMA process from intake, inspection, and root-cause analysis through repair, testing, disposition, and reporting of recurring issues to Engineering.
• Lead day-to-day manufacturing and assembly activities, monitoring schedules and staff loading to meet delivery commitments.
• Develop quality checkpoints, inspection criteria, and test procedures; oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection and equipment testing.
• Manage nonconforming material, quality alerts, and corrective/preventive actions, including supplier corrective actions.
• Train, mentor, and support production staff on assembly methods, quality standards, and safety.
• Create and maintain SOPs, work instructions, and manufacturing documentation.
• Manage the ECO process and maintain released drawings and BOMs; support NPI with manufacturing input.
• Maintain documentation required for product compliance (UL, CE, and other applicable standards).
• Apply lean manufacturing and 5S methods and use quality and production data to drive continuous improvement.
• Support and refine our ERP system (Odoo) for BOMs, manufacturing orders, work centers, and quality.
• Ensure work is done safely and follows all OSHA and other safety standards.
• Take on additional duties as needed by the team.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering or a related field; equivalent experience considered.
• Engineer level: 0-3 years relevant experience. Manager level: 5+ years manufacturing experience, including leading production staff.
• Experience with ISO 9001 or another formal quality management system.
• Experience with root-cause analysis, corrective actions, and customer returns/RMAs preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, and electrical schematics.
• Familiarity with CAD and ERP/MRP systems (SolidWorks, OnShape, Odoo, or similar) is preferred.
• Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills; exposure to UL 508A control panels, vacuum systems, or process equipment is a plus.
• Attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to collaborate and remain professional in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid driver's license.

• Frequently stand, walk, bend, and work at equipment during assembly and testing.
• Occasionally lift components weighing up to 40-50 lbs.
• Ability to safely use hand tools, power tools, and test equipment.
