Manufacturing Quality Engineer

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Manufacturing Quality Engineer job in Greenfield, IN. This DIRECT hire job is available with one of our key customers in the manufacturing industry. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting and improving internal manufacturing processes through quality assurance planning, problem solving, quality system auditing, new product launches, and supplier corrective actions. In order to be successful in this position, you must have five to eight years of quality engineering experience, including at least two years of in-plant manufacturing experience, and expertise with APQP, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, Lean, and Six Sigma. Preference will be given to someone with Polyworks or similar CMM software experience and ISO 9001 lead auditor experience.

Manufacturing Quality Engineer Job responsibilities:

• Solve complex product quality and process problems using root cause analysis and corrective action methods.
• Act as voice of the customer on new product development projects and recommend design, manufacturing, and quality control improvements.
• Develop and maintain process maps, PFMEAs, control plans, and standard operating procedures.
• Set up, program, and operate a laser scanning arm to verify components and assemblies.
• Serve as subject matter expert and internal auditor for the ISO 9001 quality system.
• Partner with suppliers, operations, design, and customer care, and gather and analyze data to report on improvements.

Qualifications:

• Five to eight years of quality engineering experience, including two plus years in-plant
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
• Expertise with APQP, PPAP, 8D, FMEA, Lean, Six Sigma, and VAVE
• Experience with Polyworks or similar CMM software and standard measurement tools
• Lead auditor or competence in ISO 9001, TS 16949, or AS9100
• Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing and assembly; bilingual a plus

This direct hire Manufacturing Quality Engineer job is based in Greenfield, IN. The annual salary for this role ranges from $80,000 - $100,000, commensurate with experience.
