About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing QA Technician II to join our team on a 9-month contract basis. The ideal candidate will have at least. High school diploma or equivalent required. Additional relevant certifications are a plus. and Minimum 1 year of QA experience.
Responsibilities
- Key Responsibilities
- Inspect raw materials, production processes, and finished milk products for quality and safety.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, SOPs, food safety, and regulatory standards.
- Monitor equipment calibration, maintenance, and quality testing.
- Identify and resolve quality issues with production teams.
- Analyze test results, maintain daily records, and prepare quality reports.
- Support internal/external audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Handle customer complaints and coordinate corrective actions with production.
- Ensure products meet Safeway quality standards and specifications.
- Perform other quality-related projects as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma/GED required.
- Minimum 1 year of QA experience, preferably in food production.
- Microbiology or chemical laboratory experience is acceptable.
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of quality control, HACCP, food safety, and regulatory compliance preferred.
- Strong communication, documentation, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team environment.
- Proficient with Windows-based PC programs.
- Lab testing equipment/maintenance experience preferred.
- Flexible to work assigned shifts and occasional weekends.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
