We are seeking an experienced Production Supervisor III to provide hands-on leadership within a large, complex, fast-paced manufacturing and warehouse environment.
This position is responsible for coordinating production and warehouse operations, leading employees, driving operational performance, and ensuring the facility consistently meets productivity, quality, safety, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated production leadership experience, knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, and the ability to effectively lead and develop a diverse workforce.
Coordinate manufacturing and warehouse activities to support production, quality, safety, and on-time delivery objectives.
Develop, monitor, and drive completion of short-term and long-term plant goals and action plans.
Lead daily production activities and provide direction to employees in a fast-paced operating environment.
Utilize Lean Manufacturing principles, processes, and technology to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
Identify and promote cost-saving and continuous improvement initiatives.
Foster a work environment centered on trust, teamwork, quality, accountability, and safety.
Manage, coach, and develop employees to improve individual and team performance.
Ensure products are produced according to established quality standards and operational requirements.
Support compliance with applicable federal, state, and workplace regulations, including OSHA, EPA, FDA, USDA, and HACCP requirements, as applicable.
Partner with plant leadership to address operational challenges and achieve production goals.
2+ years of leadership experience within a production or manufacturing environment.
1+ year of experience working with Lean Manufacturing principles.
Demonstrated ability to supervise employees and manage day-to-day production activities.
Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability and willingness to work assigned shifts, weekends, and holidays based on operational needs.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to quickly learn additional business and operational software applications.
Previous experience supervising a diverse, unionized workforce.
Strong employee coaching, development, and performance management experience.
Experience working in a large, high-volume, fast-paced manufacturing or production facility.
Knowledge of continuous improvement and cost-reduction methodologies.
Familiarity with manufacturing safety, quality, and regulatory compliance requirements.
