    Description

    A day in this role

You step onto the floor as the first to master a brand-new procedure. Within hours, you’ve distilled it into clear, teachable steps, paired up with technicians, and synced with trainer cohorts to ensure the rollout is smooth. You keep one eye on training velocity (time to full crew readiness) and the other on training quality (adherence to standards), closing gaps before they become issues. Your north star never changes: every station in your scope runs to standard—every shift—with a self-sufficient team.

    What you’ll own

    • End-to-end training performance across a defined set of manufacturing stations, serving as the technical authority for your area.
    • Translation of new and updated processes into effective, on-the-job learning that drives consistent execution and measurable technician proficiency.
    • Metrics that matter: training velocity and training quality, with proactive actions to accelerate readiness and improve adherence to standards.

    Core responsibilities

    • Deliver on-the-job instruction and lead all training activities for your area.
    • Work side-by-side with technicians to uncover process nuances, pain points, and improvement ideas.
    • Rapidly master every process and convert methods into clear, stepwise instruction.
    • Train both technicians and technician-trainers to achieve consistent, standard execution across all shifts.
    • Tailor coaching to individual learning styles and support trainees through challenges.
    • Mentor technician-trainers in best-in-class training delivery.
    • Own assessments end-to-end: quizzes, evaluations, and progress reporting.
    • Define and refine evaluation criteria spanning hard and soft skills.
    • Partner with process designers to map tasks and decision points using structured “if/then” logic.
    • Maintain version-controlled training content that is always audit-ready and up-to-date.
    • Reboard returning technicians to align with current training standards.
    • Conduct and support training audits to drive 100% procedural compliance.
    • Blend on-the-job and off-the-job training formats to fit learning objectives.
    • Collaborate with Learning System Engineers to build and execute continuous improvement roadmaps.

    Qualifications

    • 1+ years in a training, instructing, or teaching capacity focused on entry-level individual contributors.
    • 2+ years in a production or inspection environment.
    • Demonstrated success training talent from entry level through mid level.
    • Strong aptitude for quickly learning, reteaching, and influencing process adoption.
    • Ability to independently spot macro and micro human patterns and provide actionable, objective, mature recommendations to leadership.

    What will set you apart

    • A passion for training, career development, and the Hadrian mission to reindustrialize the nation’s workforce.
    • Hands-on training or teaching experience in an operational setting.
    • Influence without authority—you won’t manage people, but your success depends on your ability to lead through influence.
    • High emotional intelligence: receptive to feedback, able to coach trainers, and committed to continuous learning.
