    Position Overview

    Jet Technologies, Inc. is a leading custom plastics manufacturer specializing in vacuum forming, CNC machining, product development, and value-added assembly.

    The Plant Manager is responsible for leading all plant operations to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and profitability goals are met. This role oversees multiple manufacturing processes, drives continuous improvement, and ensures efficient coordination between production, engineering, supply chain, and distribution functions.

     

    Key Responsibilities

    Operational Leadership

    • Direct and oversee all day-to-day plant operations including production, maintenance, and logistics
    • Ensure efficient use of labor, materials, and equipment across manufacturing processes (vacuum forming, CNC machining, assembly, and fabrication)
    • Develop and execute production plans to meet customer demand and delivery timelines

    Safety & Compliance

    • Champion a strong safety culture; ensure compliance with OSHA and internal safety standards
    • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free facility
    • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions

    Quality Management

    • Ensure adherence to quality standards and customer specifications
    • Collaborate with quality teams to drive root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives
    • Support the company’s commitment to precision and product excellence

    Continuous Improvement

    • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and other efficiency initiatives
    • Identify process improvement opportunities in manufacturing workflows
    • Optimize production scheduling, throughput, and waste reduction

    Financial Performance

    • Manage plant budget, including labor, materials, and capital expenditures
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs): productivity, scrap rates, downtime, and on-time delivery
    • Drive cost reduction strategies while maintaining product quality

    Team Leadership & Development

    • Lead, coach, and develop supervisors and department managers
    • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
    • Support workforce planning, hiring, training, and performance management

    Cross-Functional Collaboration

    • Partner with engineering, product development, and sales to support new product launches
    • Collaborate with supply chain and distribution teams to ensure timely material availability and product delivery
    • Act as a key liaison between executive leadership and plant operations

     

    Qualifications

    Required

    • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Operations Management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
    • 7–10+ years of manufacturing experience, including leadership roles
    • Experience in plastics manufacturing, fabrication, or similar industrial environment
    • Strong understanding of CNC machining, forming processes, and assembly operations
    • Proven leadership in managing mid-to-large teams in a production setting

    Preferred

    • Experience in custom manufacturing or job-shop environment
    • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma certification
    • Multi-site or multi-plant experience
