Our client in the Kent, WA area has an opening for a Manufacturing Planner.

JOB SUMMARY:

Write a brief summary of the primary purpose of the job.Contract support for conversion of manufacturing plans from existing system to new Velocity MES system.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

List the major duties and responsibilities of this job (5-7). List them in importance.

• Convert Manufacturing plans from our current Word based planning system to the new Dassault Velocity (Delmia) MES system.
• Interpret customer and internal drawings, specifications, processes and procedures as needed during conversion.
• Implement measurement plans for data collection and analysis into manufacturing plans as defined by project leader.
• Work with production personnel to ensure any production concerns are incorporated into plans during conversion.
• Provide drawing/spec interpretation as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

List the minimum knowledge, education, experience, skills and abilities required.

• Education and/or ExperienceExperience with electronic (paper on glass) planning systems, particularly Dassault Delmia or Velocity products, a plus.
• Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret aerospace specifications. Ability to effectively present information to management.
• Teaming skillsAbility to take on tasks within that team with limited oversight.
• Ability to work on a collaborative team, including both shop floor operators and Engineering representation.

Ability to work within tight deadlines and provide updates as required on progress
