Manufacturing Operator

Our client is seeking a Manufacturing Operator to join their team. As a Manufacturing Operator, you will be part of the team supporting their Microbiology operation. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, a focus on quality and compliance, and the drive to work collaboratively with minimal supervision to achieve team and company goals.

Job Title: Manufacturing Operator

Location: Lenexa, KS

Pay Range: $18.00 to $25.50 p/hr

Shift: Multiple shifts available

What's the Job?

• Produce quality culture media according to established regulations (QSR), current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), and company policies and procedures.
• Arrive to work on time and work scheduled hours, including additional overtime as needed; follow written procedures and escalate deviations or discrepancies to area leadership.
• Perform all work activities safely by consistently wearing required PPE, maintaining a safe and clutter-free work area, and cleaning up spills immediately.
• Operate assigned machinery efficiently and safely, perform simple maintenance, and report malfunctioning equipment to Supervisor or Lead.
• Maintain aseptic processes (dispensing, inspecting, and packaging), complete required documentation accurately and timely, and inspect processes/products for quality while escalating issues.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Effective communication in English, both verbal and written, including the ability to listen to, follow, and relay instructions.
• Basic math proficiency and the ability to see and distinguish colors.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Preferred: 0-1 year of experience in a manufacturing or regulated environment; familiarity with aseptic technique; experience in a medical device or pharmaceutical environment.
