Lead Day-to-Day Manufacturing Operations
Join us in Smithville, TN 37166 to guide a high-performing production team. As our Manufacturing Operations Team Supervisor, you’ll orchestrate the shop-floor rhythm—aligning people, processes, and safety to deliver consistent results.
A Day in the Life
You start with a quick walkthrough of the floor, check key performance dashboards, and host a focused huddle to set priorities. Throughout the shift, you balance coaching with coordination—solving issues, refining schedules, and reinforcing safe work practices.
What You’ll Own
- Oversee daily production activity and ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Lead, mentor, and develop team members so they can do their best work and grow in their roles.
- Track performance indicators and introduce improvements that elevate throughput and quality.
- Coordinate staffing and sequencing of work to maximize productivity and meet deadlines.
- Run regular team meetings to communicate targets, updates, and feedback.
- Resolve employee concerns and conflicts promptly and professionally.
- Champion a safe, healthy workplace and reinforce safe work practices, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
- Support onboarding and hands-on training for new hires.
What You’ll Bring
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in management or a related field is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience supervising a team in a production or similar environment.
- Proven leadership and strong interpersonal skills.
- Clear, effective communication—both written and verbal.
- Ability to analyze issues, troubleshoot root causes, and implement sound solutions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and related operational software.
- Excellent organization and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work varied hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
