Manufacturing Operations Assistant (Machinist Support)

Be the go-to partner for machinists—setting up the day, moving materials, and keeping equipment in top condition so output, quality, and safety stay on track.

Your impact

• Operate production machinery or closely assist machine operators.
• Watch equipment in cycle; identify malfunction symptoms and promptly notify operators.
• Lift and transfer raw materials, finished goods, and packaged items manually or via hoists.
• Confirm order completeness by counting finished pieces.
• Tag and mark components for clear identification.
• Load/unload parts on machines, conveyors, and related conveyances.
• Clean and lubricate equipment to maintain reliability.
• Safely use forklifts and other mechanized vehicles (including passenger vehicles) as required.
• Assist with facility upkeep: painting, floor and surface cleaning, glass washing, trash removal, snow removal, and more.
• Handle other assigned tasks that support production goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of hands-on manufacturing experience.

Conditions you can expect

• 40–50 hours per week; overtime, on-call periods, evenings, and/or weekends may be needed.
• Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods.
• Capable of lifting 50 pounds.
