Description

Shift: During the training (first month of assignment) the shift will be M to F from 6am to 2.30pm. After the training and after discussion and confirmation with the manager: M to F from 9am to 5.30pm
Duration: 04+ months (opportunity for possible extension)

*Experience related to using data to calibrate manufacturing equipment
*Needs to be able to use data to make decisions based on judgment

The Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician is responsible for calibrating, testing, and shipping Beckman Echo systems.

This position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Production Team located in San Jose, CA and will be an on-site role. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

•Follow established procedures to calibrate, test, and prepare instruments for shipping
•Provide the first line of troubleshooting for diagnosing problems
•Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities

The essential requirements of the job include:
•Minimum 3-5 years relevant experience in manufacturing machines/hardware calibration / using the data to calibrate manufacturing equipment
•MUST HAVE Associate's degree in a technical field (Computer, Engineering or Life Sciences)
•MUST HAVE effective and analytical problem-solving skills, including basic understanding of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests
•Proactive profile, asks questions and has initiative
•Able to follow verbal and written instructions and ability to work as part of a team
•Good communication skills

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
•Prior work experience with calibration, automation, centrifuges, plate readers, etc.
•Familiarity with chemistry and liquid handling equipment (Beckman, Agilent, Hamilton)
