Description

  • Lead, mentor, and develop supervisors, team leaders, and production personnel across extrusion manufacturing operations.
  • Establish performance objectives, monitor results, and promote accountability throughout the department.
  • Manage workforce planning, scheduling, recruitment support, training, and skills development initiatives.
  • Drive a positive culture focused on safety, quality, teamwork, and operational excellence.
  • Oversee daily production activities to ensure manufacturing schedules and customer requirements are achieved.
  • Monitor key performance indicators including productivity, equipment utilization, labor efficiency, throughput, and waste reduction.
  • Identify operational bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve manufacturing performance.
  • Coordinate resources effectively to maximize output while maintaining product quality standards.
  • Lead investigations into production issues and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Work closely with engineering, maintenance, quality, planning, and operations teams to optimize processes and equipment performance.
  • Support preventative maintenance activities and capital improvement projects.
  • Participate in new product launches, process transfers, and manufacturing scale-up activities.
  • Maintain accurate process documentation, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support non-conformance investigations, root cause analysis, and material review processes.
  • Champion continuous improvement projects focused on efficiency, cost reduction, quality enhancement, and KPI achievement.
  • Identify operational risks and opportunities and proactively develop mitigation strategies.
  • Ensure effective communication across shifts and functional departments.
  • Maintain compliance with all company, customer, regulatory, and safety requirements.

Profile

  • Minimum 5 years of leadership experience within a manufacturing environment, ideally involving extrusion processes.
  • Previous experience managing supervisors, team leaders, and production teams.
  • Strong understanding of extrusion manufacturing, equipment, tooling, materials, and process controls.
  • Experience within medical device, medical tubing, wire and cable, catheter manufacturing, or another highly regulated industry is highly desirable.
  • Knowledge of single-lumen, multi-lumen, co-extrusion, or other precision extrusion processes is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Statistical Process Control (SPC), process validation, and quality management systems.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and production planning tools.
  • Competent with Microsoft Office and manufacturing reporting systems.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, coaching, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering results under tight deadlines.
  • Continuous improvement mindset with experience supporting Lean manufacturing or operational excellence initiatives.
  • Results-driven leader who can build engagement, motivate teams, and deliver exceptional customer-focused outcomes.
